Musefees

The Muse Festival is part of the Mossel Bay Municipality Arts Festival Month.

Annual Event

To host an annual event that draws on the resourcefulness of the community, the surrounding beauty of Great Brak River, and its rich history, while fostering community unity and promote local attractions.

Economic Growth

To help promote Great Brak River in order to establish economic growth for the town.

Social Responsibility

The Musefestival is deeply rooted in social responsibility, prioritising sustainable practices, ethical collaboration, and inclusive programming. From supporting local artisans and businesses to creating platforms for underrepresented voices, the festival is committed to making a positive impact. More than just an event, it serves as a catalyst for community connection

Mossel Bay Tourism

Mossel Bay’s vast array of recognisable locations, rich history and beautiful surroundings may well position it as the icon of the Garden Route and South Africa. It makes sense, then, that Mossel Bay receives the title of iconic – home to many memorable places and moments. Great Brak River, another iconic area of Mossel Bay and home of the Muse Festival, was built around the lagoon of the serpentine Great Brak River.

Visitors can enjoy sweeping panoramic views, beautiful beaches and experience numerous art, cycling and hiking routes as well as ample opportunities for bird and whale watching. Art galleries, fine dining, excursions to nearby game farms and annual events are on offer too.

The Post

Every story has a beginning, and The Post is no exception. Born from a vision to serve the community, it has evolved over the years, adapting to changes and overcoming challenges to remain a beloved local publication.

The distribution area is from George/Wilderness to Mossel Bay, and the print run 5 000 copies with 155 monthly distribution points.

The affordability of advertising in The Post, combined with its free availability to the public, has been a significant draw. Advertisers appreciate the wide readership of the positive, insightful articles that engage the community, turning each edition into a cherished item on coffee tables, shared among friends and family during visits and holidays.

It continues to thrive the past 18 years thanks to the support and enjoyment of its readers. For The Post’s team, integrity, carefully curated content, and visually appealing design are crucial to maintaining and growing this support.

The Post’s journey from its humble beginnings to a well-regarded community staple highlights its commitment to serving its readers and advertisers with dedication and quality.
