Charli Paci Pizzeria
We’re thrilled to announce that Charli Paci Pizzeria has taken second place in this year’s Muse-lin competition! Their innovative take on a classic Neapolitan pizza wowed the judges and secured their spot among the top contenders.
What makes their pizza so special?
Their dish features a unique combination of butternut ragu, shushu tzatziki, galangal dust, and a sprinkling of Parmesan — all topped with delicate shushu caviar. It’s a culinary masterpiece that blends rich, earthy flavors with unexpected twists.
Third place
Seeplaas
We’re proud to celebrate Seeplaas, who secured third place in this year’s Muse-lin competition with their extraordinary Shushu Stack! This beautifully layered dish combines the richness of butternut, tender pulled brisket, fresh baby spinach, and a silky galangal béarnaise, all brought together with a refreshing wild mint pea puree.
The perfect balance of flavors and textures left the judges speechless. A true celebration of creativity and fine dining!

2nd MUSE-LIN* Competition
The Muse-lin* Project successfully showcased the incredible culinary talents of local restaurants and take-away outlets in Great Brak River, Klein Brak River, and Glentana. It provided an exciting platform for businesses to highlight local ingredients while competing for the prestigious floating trophy during the Muse Festival.
Die Ou Pastorie Teetuin
The Ou Pastorie served up a brilliant Beef and butternut bobotie with Shu Shu chutney, banana, and coconut, paired with yellow rice, caramelized sweet potatoes, and traditional green beans.
Bean Tree
Take a look at what Bean Tree served up: Butternut galangal soup, grilled hake with savory rice, Shu Shu "sweet potato" in caramel sauce, followed by a refreshing lemon pudding with cream.
Genade Granaat
Take a look at what Genade Granaat created: Smoked butternut and biltong quiche, followed by a mouthwatering Shu Shu galangal blueberry crumble pie.
Ilita Lodge
Look at what Ilita Lodge made: Butternut quiche, caramelized onion, and feta with lemon zest, served with a side salad.
